A refugee woman who was a child bride, arrived in Australia with her husband and 2 children. They were a persecuted minority in their home country and the horrific trip to Australia was dangerous and harrowing. She has a signifanct trauma background and suffers mentally and physically as a result. While in Australia, she escaped her home after experiencing prolonged domestic voilence and has struggled to find work that she can sustain due to her physical and mental challenges. Her youngest child also has Type 1 diabetes, and the consumables for his medical condition are costly and ongoing.
She has just had major life-saving surgery and with the rising cost of living, is barely managing to pay the rent. She has a very limited support network, struggles with poor mental health and is trying to build a new, safe life for her children.
