My client is a single man in his 50s who experiences ongoing mental health challenges and lives with a disability. He is currently residing in temporary POD village accommodation after losing his home and all of his belongings in the floods.
We have been actively supporting him to find reasonable accommodation within his budget in the local area; however, despite ongoing efforts, we have been unsuccessful. The village is due to close in the coming months, placing him at significant risk of homelessness.
The client has recently secured access to land where he is able to rent a car space and live from his van. To make this a safe, stable, and liveable option, he requires access to independent power and support to have his water pump set up and running. This would provide him with basic essential needs and help create a safer living environment as he transitions out of the temporary village accommodation.
