This woman is experiencing homelessness for the first time after escaping family violence and facing significant challenges caused by a close family member's severe drug addiction, which resulted in the loss of her tenancy. Despite these traumatic experiences, she has shown remarkable resilience and determination to rebuild her life.
She has maintained eight years of sobriety, is committed to her recovery, and is taking positive steps towards creating a stable future. As part of this journey, she has enrolled in further education to improve her employment opportunities and increase her long-term independence. Like many people rebuilding after homelessness and trauma, she has very limited financial resources and is working hard to break the cycle of disadvantage.
Support from donors will help remove some of the barriers she faces as she works towards a safer, more stable and self-sufficient future.
