Small chemical-free, sustainable family business severely affected by bushfire.
A mother and daughter who had a small business using a herd of goats to organically, without poisonous sprays or chemicals, to remove weeds and blackberries from the land and at the edge of water ways, as goats will eat obnoxious weeds safely. They would leave their goats on site and contain them with portable fencing. When the bushfires swept through the region, the mother and daughter team only had enough time to remove their beloved goats to safety, and they had to abandon their fencing which was destroyed. This leaves the business with no way to safely contain the goats, when on assignment, and there for the business cannot run without fencing. This business model delivers a shared benefit for the entire community, as it protects our land and waterways though sustainable, chemical-free land management and safeguards our environment for everyone. This situation has left the family with mental and financial stress as they have lost their income and livelihood.
Thank you.
