After fleeing hardship, this refugee family of eight is working hard to rebuild their lives in a new environment. Despite their resilience, the challenges they face each day are significant. With six young children depending on her, the mother carries the full responsibility of caregiving, while also supporting her husband who lives with mental health challenges and a disability. The emotional, physical, and financial pressures on her are constant.
Adjusting to a new life has not been easy. Limited resources and ongoing financial strain mean the family is often forced to prioritise immediate basic needs over comfort or stability. Everyday tasks that many take for granted require extraordinary effort, adding to the stress and exhaustion already present in the household.
This family is doing everything they can to move forward, but without additional support, the weight of their circumstances continues to hold them back. With the right help, we can support them to thrive.
