40-year-old woman currently experiencing homelessness and residing in crisis accommodation at our service after spending several months rough sleeping. Prior to becoming homeless, they maintained a tenancy for two years but was forced to leave due to ongoing bullying and harassment from a neighbour, leaving them feeling unsafe in their own home. Since losing their housing, they have had to rebuild their life while managing the emotional and practical challenges associated with homelessness.
They identify as a member of the LGBTQIA+ community and lives with Borderline Personality Disorder. Despite these challenges, they remains committed to their recovery by engaging with Mental Health supports and takes their prescribed medication consistently. They have also achieved a significant milestone by successfully completing detox and rehab.
They have demonstrated a genuine commitment to improving their circumstances and get back on their feet to focus on their recovery and wellbeing.
