We support parents with disabilities who are experiencing significant challenges, including domestic and family violence, financial hardship, housing instability, limited support networks, and involvement with Child Safety.
We are currently supporting a mother of two young children. Due to a shortage of foster carers in the area, her children were recently placed with a kinship carer located eight hours away. Over the past several months, the mother has travelled long distances by car and train to maintain contact with her children. Despite these challenges, she has recently secured stable housing in Rockhampton and is working hard to rebuild her life and strengthen her relationship with her children. She is seeking assistance with relocation costs to help her establish her new home and continue working towards family reunification.
