Requesting financial assistance for removalist costs for two brothers who were significantly impacted by the 2022 Northern Rivers floods, which affected their family home in Lismore. Since the disaster, they have been living in temporary accommodation in a pod village as part of the flood recovery program.
Their mother has now secured a long-term housing option and they will be moving back in with her, allowing them to transition out of temporary accommodation and into stable housing.
They have been permitted to take the furniture and white goods they have been using; however, they cannot afford the cost of a removalist. Funding support would allow these essential household items to be transported to their mother’s home so they can successfully establish their household.
