After losing everything in the 2022 floods including their home and vehicles and with five children at home — from a baby through to a 13-year-old — their financial priorities have had to be strict and unrelenting. Every cent has gone towards essential structural repairs, basic furnishings, and ensuring the home is safe. There has been no room in the budget for anything beyond the absolute necessities. No space for small joys. No funds for play equipment. No way to replace what the children lost.
After everything this family has been through, and still going through, the gift of vouchers for outdoor play equipment would mean so much more than swings or a trampoline. It would restore laughter. It would bring back a sense of normality. It would give five resilient children a safe space to play, grow, and heal.
