Our client is a kind, gentle, community-minded single father living in public housing, who looks after with care, his 8-year-old son. He escaped with his son in the last couple of years from a violent family situation, only to find it unsafe and threatening at the public housing accommodation he was moved into. Recently he was elated to find out that he has been granted a transfer to a new home for himself & his son; closer to his son's school & friends, & more importantly, safer offering him peace of mind.
He now has the opportunity to create a forever home for himself & his son. However, we have only just found out that the pair had been sleeping on mattresses, & do not have a lounge suite to sit on in their living room & their new home does not have a communal laundry so they will now need access to a washing machine. We would love to assist our community member with any offers available in setting up a new home for this small but lovely family & to see them now live & thrive.
