Since 2019, our rural community has faced repeated natural disasters, and many families are still rebuilding financially and emotionally. In our low socio-economic town, parents are often already stretched beyond capacity and unable to afford laptops for their children, even though they are now essential for schooling.
Access to a laptop would allow local children and teens to complete homework, research assignments, use online learning platforms, and stay connected with their education outside school hours. For young people already facing disadvantage, this support can mean the difference between falling behind and staying engaged. It also helps build confidence, independence, and future opportunity.
Providing laptops is a practical way to support the education, wellbeing, and future of school-aged children in our community so they are not left behind because of where they live or their family’s financial circumstances.
