At the time of presentation, the client was 36 weeks pregnant and facing significant housing instability after unexpectedly losing her accommodation when the lease was cancelled and the property was being prepared for sale. With no secure housing and currently couch surfing, the client expressed understandable anxiety about preparing for the imminent birth of her child and the prospect of raising her newborn as a single mother. The uncertainty surrounding her housing situation has added considerable emotional and practical stress during an already vulnerable stage of pregnancy. Despite these challenges, the client has remained proactive in seeking support through Housing ACT and community services. Emotional support was provided throughout the appointment, and housing options, support pathways, and advocacy opportunities were explored to help reduce the risk of homelessness and promote stability, safety, and wellbeing for both the client and her unborn child.
