Financial pressures have been building for over 12 months and with the rising costs of living in a remote town and the recent cyclone, things are getting tighter. This family have 2 boys with disabilities which result in added financial pressure due to therapies and caring support requirements that are only partially funded by NDIS. The boys are growing and eating more than the sole parent is able to provide and there is no room for incidentals at the end of the pay check. Any support will give this family some breathing space, even if for a short time.
