This couple lost everything in the Koolewong Fires, they had very little time to escape. The couple built the home 25 years ago and are now forced to start over, right before Christmas.
They feel lucky to escape with their lives and have been living in temporary accommodation since the fire on December 6th.
The couple will be living in a caravan for the foreseeable future, while they wait for their insurance claim to come through. They hope that they can afford to rebuild in the area. It has been their home for a long time.
They need help now with vouchers for food, clothing and fuel, while they get through Christmas.
