Education and play based term 1 school holiday workshop for children and families in supported accommodation
GIVIT
The school holiday workshop was developed to provide families and children living in Launch Housing–supported accommodation with a creative space to strengthen bonds and build resilience while co-existing peacefully with other families.
The workshop aims to support children in developing collaboration and social interaction skills through play-based activities. The session will follow a child-led, free-flowing format, allowing families to move between activity stations at their own pace.
Key elements include:
1. Parent-led participation, with workers providing light facilitation and support
2. Collaboration with our allied health speech pathologist to incorporate speech-supportive activities where appropriate
As this is an additional program to be delivered during the school holidays, donor support is required to help bring this workshop to life.
