This grandmother is the full‑time guardian of her 9‑year‑old grandson and has been his constant source of safety and stability throughout his life. She was recently diagnosed with metastatic bowel cancer and given a terminal prognosis. Due to her treatment and declining health, she has had to stop working and is now focused on undergoing chemotherapy while trying to maintain a sense of normalcy for her grandson during this incredibly difficult time.
