A refugee family from Syria, including a couple, their four children and an elderly mother, has recently arrived in Australia and moved into their new home. After experiencing many years of conflict, displacement and uncertainty, the family finally has the opportunity to settle into a safe and stable place they can call home.
The family arrived in Australia with only a small amount of clothing and very few personal belongings, meaning they now need to rebuild their household from the ground up. They are in need of essential household furniture and items to help make their new house comfortable and functional for the whole family.
As newly arrived refugees, language barriers are currently making it difficult for the parents to access employment and become financially independent. Your support would help ease the financial pressure of establishing a new home and give this family a positive start as they rebuild their lives in Australia.
