A First Nations Elder who is 71 is unable to retire as she would not be able to afford her rental. Her rental has been increased by $75 a week, putting more strain on her finances. She is being supported as we navigate potential government assistance but some help with food will be much needed in the meantime. Some support with the necessities will help take some of the strain off her finances as we work on a more long-term fix.
