I am writing on behalf of a young Aboriginal mother who has recently fled a family and domestic violence situation with her three children, aged 5, 10 and 17. The family is now focused on rebuilding their lives in a safe and stable environment after leaving circumstances that placed them at significant risk. s the family establishes a new household, they are facing significant financial hardship and are unable to afford essential household items. A washing machine is urgently needed to support the ongoing care of the children and to help maintain a clean, healthy living environment. The cost of regularly using laundromat facilities places additional financial strain on the family, reducing funds available for other necessities.Assistance with the purchase of a washing machine would provide immediate and practical support during this critical transition period.
