At 72 years old, this gentleman is facing significant hardship completely alone. With no family or support network, he is navigating chronic illness, a chronic heart condition, emphysema, declining mobility, and profound grief following the loss of his son and the recent passing of a neighbour he cared for deeply.
These losses have left him isolated and struggling to maintain hope for the future. Despite his own challenges, he has always been someone who cared for others before himself.
He is currently seeking medical attention for two undiagnosed growths on his chest and, due to his age, is unable to access NDIS supports. He is awaiting connection with My Aged Care services.
Limited mobility has left him unable to adequately wash and maintain his bedding, affecting his comfort, dignity, and mental wellbeing. Support now will help restore independence and hope, while improving his quality of life during this difficult period.
