Cancer is expensive. It is almost always more expensive the further you live from a metropolitan area. This is a new branch which was started in June 2020 by a person who has their own cancer story and saw a need to provide financial assistance to people in the Hunter area who are undergoing cancer treatment . Within their first month of operation this branch had requests for financial assistance yet, due to COVID, they have had very little opportunity to fundraise to be able to assist clients with out of pocket medical expenses. Our branches raise money in their local area and every cent raised stays with the branch to be spent on patients from the local area who are undergoing cancer treatment.
