My client is 53 years old. she works two jobs. She was living in social housing and has had multiple episodes of physical abuse and violence in her home by the neighbours. After two IVOs, my client is forced to move for her own safety. She has managed to secure a studio apartment however she has had to pay $1,600 for the bond and $1,600 for the month in advance. furthermore she has paid for a removalist to move her furniture across. This has left her with no money for the next two - 4 weeks. She has had to take time off work for this move leaving her in financial difficulty. She is asking for help with food and medicine for the next month until she is back at work and back on her feet. She does not want to be without food and gifts for her grandchildren at xmas time.
