This mum is celebrating a significant milestone of finally getting a home for her children after escaping DFV. After spending 18 months living in a hotel room with a 14 and 16 year old. This family is now setting up their 3 bedroom home. As cute as it is however, it doesn't have wardrobes nor much clothing to put in them.
This mum has pushed through many barriers to get this far, including navigating her two older children's life choices, coparenting after DFV, maintaining her own mental health and the high support needs of one of sons as he lives with significant disabilities and developmental delays.
This mum is excited about living independently, however this also comes with its own challenges, navigating a fine budget with teens and an empty home. She shares not having a TV has been good for her relationship with her sons but she is sick of doing puzzles.
