Due to a back injury, the client experiences pain and limited mobility, which makes meal preparation more challenging. A microwave would provide a practical and efficient way to prepare and reheat meals, reducing physical strain and supporting her ability to manage household responsibilities while caring for her children. This appliance would significantly improve the family’s day-to-day wellbeing and assist the client in maintaining a safe and manageable home environment.

The client is a single mother of two children aged 7 and 5 who is currently experiencing significant financial hardship due to a mobility-limiting injury sustained in May this year. The injury has prevented her from working and has impacted her ability to carry out daily activities independently. She is currently reliant on approximately per month in government and Centrelink payments, which is insufficient to meet the family's ongoing living expenses, including rent, utilities, food, medical costs, and the needs of her two young children.

The client's current accommodation is not suitable for her mobility needs and restricts her ability to move around safely and comfortably. She is actively seeking more appropriate housing; however, the financial burden associated with relocation and ongoing living costs has created additional stress. Assistance through GIVIT help alleviate immediate financial pressure and support the wellbeing of the family.
