A voucher for a dining table and two chairs will ensure the resident has somewhere they can regularly eat meals, as well as sit at when completing administration necessary for planning their recovery. Due to the resident's rental property being located in Alphington, Victoria, a voucher to a vendor that offers delivery to that area is preferred.

Bushfire-impacted couple displaced from primary place of residence due to destruction from January fires

This resident was living in the Murrindindi Shire at their primary place of residence at the time of the January '26 Fires. The bushfires destroyed the resident's dwelling alongside all possessions. This impact has created a significant wellbeing and mental health burden for the resident, in addition to forcing them to relocate to a new dwelling.

The resident is now residing in a rental property, which they have leased to serve as a temporary residence while they plan their long-term recovery. As all items were destroyed in the fires, the rental property is not yet equipped with all essential items. Funding assistance and vouchers will help the resident to equip the property with the required items to live there while they plan their rebuild, including appliances/white goods and necessary furniture.
