This request is for a gentleman in our community who has been experiencing long-term homelessness after being priced out of the rental market. He is a kind, soft-spoken member of our community who never asks for more than he needs, and shows immense gratitude for even the simplest amount of help or care shown towards him.
He experiences significant anxiety, which makes navigating services, paperwork, and appointments very difficult, but he is trying to get his affairs in order and improve his situation.
He is seeking petrol vouchers to help him attend medical appointments for ongoing lung problems following the 2019 bushfires, and to occasionally travel to see his daughter and new grandson, which is very important for his wellbeing and connection to family.
