We’re seeking help for a gentleman who has been living with PTSD for over 30 years, which led to homelessness until just over a year ago. Recently, he has been diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis, making mobility increasingly difficult. While he waits for an outcome on his NDIS appeal and appropriate social housing—both of which could take months—his mental health is declining as he remains isolated in his unit.
A wheelchair or mobility scooter would make a huge difference, allowing him to get out and about without pain and improving his mental wellbeing. If anyone has a wheelchair or scooter they’re no longer using, or knows where we might source one, it would be greatly appreciated.
