I am supporting a recently arrived refugee family (mother and her daughter) settled in Australia in late April 2026. currently experiencing financial hardship while awaiting access to longer-term supports, including NDIS funding.
The mother presents with multiple vulnerabilities, including visual impairment, Type 2 diabetes, hypertension, and a history of torture and trauma. Despite these challenges, she is trying to send her daughter to school to receives education. However, due to increased rental costs and limited financial resources, the family is currently unable to meet essential household and living needs.
CURRENT NEED: $250 VOUCHERS K-MART TO PURCHASE THE FOLLOWING ITEMS.
1. Clothes drying rack
2. Microwave (critical, as the client is unable to safely use the cooktop without support due to visual impairment)
3. Warm blankets to assist the family in adjusting to colder weather conditions as winter approaches
