Recipient story

Committed student and basketballer needs support to stay healthy, active and connected to positive opportunities.
First Nations Support
A 15-year-old young person from Fitzroy Crossing is a regular and positive participant in both Marra Worra Worra's Night Space and Fitzroy Valley District High School, demonstrating strong commitment to his education and personal development. He is a respectful and motivated young man who consistently tries his best in all his endeavours and is a credit to his family and community. He is highly active and regularly participates in basketball; however, due to frequent activity and often being barefoot, he has developed ongoing foot discomfort. To support his health, wellbeing, and continued participation in sport, he requires a quality pair of basketball shoes (size 13) with strong cushioning and support to reduce impact and strain on his feet. He is also preparing to participate in an upcoming basketball carnival in Broome in late June, which provides an important opportunity for positive engagement, skill development, and connection with peers from across the region.
