She is separated from the father of her children and has two sons, including a 2-year-old child with complex developmental and medical needs (2A syndrome) requiring ongoing therapy. The client migrated to Australia three years ago and has limited family supports, with all relatives residing overseas. She disclosed a history of verbal and emotional abuse within her relationship, resulting in periods of separation, refuge accommodation and subsequent housing assistance. The client currently resides in stable accommodation through the Start Safely program. The client receives Single Parenting Payment and Carer Allowance and is currently pursuing increased disability funding to meet her child's growing support needs. She reports stress related to caregiving responsibilities, financial pressures and limited support networks. The client requires a specific double stroller to accommodate the baby and disabled child.
