Domestic & Family Violence
Young mother with 6-month-old baby. History of transient living, recently relocated following a breakdown in family relationships and informal supports. Currently residing with the baby’s father in a caravan located in his parents’ backyard. She has expressed a strong desire to secure independent accommodation but is unable to afford relocation at present. Experienced payment suspensions and reductions over the Christmas period, resulting in significant financial hardship and difficulty meeting daily needs. She would greatly appreciate assistance with essential items, including food, baby clothing, and other necessities. Has ongoing physical and mental health challenges, contributing to distress; however, she is linked with appropriate support services for these needs. Despite current barriers, she has set realistic and positive goals, including: Securing her own accommodation, obtaining a learner’s permit and to re-engage in education, she is taking steps toward achieving these goals.
