Family of 4 left homeless after devastating fire, now trying to rebuild

Our clients have experienced significant loss after their rental property caught fire at the start of this month, resulting in the family losing everything. The oldest daughter is an unpaid carer for the three other adults in the household, caring for her brother, father and family friend with complex health issues, including an intellectual disability, and multiple strokes.
Not only has this family lost all of their belongings, only days before the house fire, they were involved in a car accident causing over $3,000 in damages.
Since the fire, the family have been working hard to secure alternative housing to allow for their supports to return and have fortunately secured a new private rental to call home. Since losing everything in the fire, the family are starting from scratch to rebuild their lives. They have used the little savings they had to pay for rent and bond; this low-income household is now looking for assistance to furnish the property and purchase the necessities.
