I am seeking urgent assistance for my client, a former Australian Army member who is now living with significant mental health challenges and is a wheelchair user.
As he is required to vacate his accommodation due to his lease expiring. Under the lease agreement, the rent increases to $600 per week from 12 February 2026. Due to the severe shortage of suitable rental properties, the household is currently experiencing extreme financial strain, as they are temporarily paying rent for two properties in an effort to secure stable accommodation.
This situation has become overwhelming for the family. Due to my client’s physical disability and mental health condition, he is unable to manage the demands of relocation independently and requires practical support to ensure a safe transition.
The family is urgently seeking assistance with:
Food support/ Bond cleaning/ Removalist costs
Repairs for property damage caused by falls and wheelchair
