Single mother with four dependent children is currently experiencing significant financial hardship and is urgently requiring assistance to access food and essential supports for her family.
Due to the lack of available food in the home, the children have been unable to attend school consistently, as their mother finds it unbearable to send her children to school with adequate lunches/food for the school day. This situation is having a serious impact on the children’s wellbeing, education, and overall stability.
One of the children is currently completing her HSC year and has now missed approximately three weeks of school due to these circumstances, placing her educational outcomes at considerable risk. Her younger siblings are also being equally affected through ongoing absence from school and food insecurity.
