This young person has recently become homeless due to ongoing domestic and family violence perpetrated by their father. They were forced to leave the family home because of escalating safety concerns and are now couch surfing, with no safe option to return. At only 16 years old, they are receiving no financial or emotional support from family and are attempting to manage homelessness independently.
Despite these challenges, they have continued attending school and maintaining employment, showing remarkable resilience and commitment to their future. However, without urgent financial assistance, they remain at significant risk of ongoing housing instability and disadvantage. Brokerage support is urgently needed to assist with essential living costs and basic items while they work towards safe and stable accommodation.
