A woman with two children who has now left a long-term family violence situation is currently in the process of rebuilding her life. After enduring years of abuse, she is focused on creating a safe and stable environment for her children. At present, she is living in a rooming house that is unsuitable for her family, particularly her young child. She is on a limited income, receiving JobSeeker and Family Tax Benefit payments, which makes it extremely difficult to find suitable housing or afford essential household items. Fortunately, she has just received an offer of public housing and is preparing to move into her new home within the next week. This will be the first stable and secure home she will share with her daughter. She is seeking assistance to furnish her new home with basic necessities. Items urgently needed include a fridge, washing machine, microwave, bed, mattress, vacuum cleaner, and other essential household goods. Support during this transition would help so much.

A woman with two children is facing family violence at the hands of her husband. She is a survivor of child marriage, and her husband, now unemployed due to a work injury, has made it difficult for them to pay rent for the past two months. Despite their financial struggles, he prevents her from accepting charity clothing or vouchers for herself and their children, insisting on purchasing everything himself, though he is unable to do so. The family can barely afford groceries and has resorted to borrowing money from friends to cover rent. They are new arrivals to the area.
The woman is actively seeking employment, but her basic English skills, lack of a driver's license, and job experience are significant barriers. She would greatly benefit from RACV vouchers to improve her driving skills and obtain a license. She plans to tell her husband that her school is supporting her with driving lessons.
