This single Indigenous mum of four has recently moved into new accommodation after escaping an unsafe and emotionally distressing environment. She is doing her best to rebuild stability for her children, but the transition has been incredibly hard. The children were sharing a queen bed that has now broken, and they are currently sleeping on a thin mattress on the floor. Living on the parenting payment, she simply cannot afford new beds, furniture, or essential household items to make their space feel like a home. Her children also need clothes and other basics as she works to create a safe, comfortable environment for them to heal and thrive. Despite her challenges, she remains determined to provide her children with a better life. Any offers of support to help this strong mum and her family get back on their feet would make a meaningful difference to their lives.
