Young mother and her two sons are experiencing homelessness in Perth area

I work for a service in Fremantle Are that supports young people and families who are experiencing homelessness.
I am currently working with a young Aboriginal woman, who is sole parenting her two sons (7mth & 20mth). The family are currently couch surfing - often in overcrowding and exposed to violence and drug use. I am assisting her to find safe housing.
Working alongside her, I have witnessed a young mother who is committed to her son's wellbeing and breaking the cycle of adversity. From her own childhood, is aware of how unsafe home environments can impact children, and she does not want this for her sons.
Despite the challenge to keep her family safe, she navigates the world with hope and optimism. Everyday she takes time to do something special with her sons, creating happy moments and safety. She sees these memories and experiences as protective factors for her family, fostering positive development, resilience and wellbeing.
