44 year old woman is rebuilding her life with her two children after escaping severe domestic and family violence in Toowoomba. The violence had a significant impact on both her and her children, leaving the family with ongoing emotional trauma, fear, and anxiety.
She made the difficult decision to leave the abusive environment to protect herself and provide a safer future for her children. The family has recently moved into transitional accommodation and is working to establish stability and routine, including supporting the children to attend school regularly and feel safe again.
Recently, she learned that the perpetrator has been released from custody, increasing her fear and distress. She continues to experience anxiety, difficulty sleeping, and concerns for her family’s safety. She is also facing significant financial hardship and social isolation while rebuilding with very limited resources.
