Our client is a 53-year-old man who has demonstrated incredible resilience throughout his life. Born in the former Republic of Yugoslavia, he experienced the impacts of civil war before rebuilding his life in Australia after arriving as an asylum seeker. He is now an Australian citizen and has worked hard to establish stability and independence. After arriving in Australia, he secured employment and successfully operated several businesses while maintaining private rental accommodation and supporting his family. Following the breakdown of his relationship, significant financial hardship, and a period of homelessness, he has worked hard to rebuild his life and has now secured a home of his own. He is a kind and reliable person who consistently engages with supports and advocates for himself. He is highly motivated, home-proud, and committed to maintaining his independence and creating a safe, stable environment for himself. Support will assist as he establishes his new home.
