Mum's ex-partner had control of the family's finances. Service has provided support to assist her and her child to access emergency accommodation in a refuge and advocated with Centrelink to ensure her payments were redirected to her own account. Following the separation, the client's ex continued to harass her through persistent phone calls and messages. This behaviour escalated after the Centrelink payment arrangements were changed. During this period, mum was socially isolated, had very limited support networks. Despite these significant challenges, the client has demonstrated resilience and determination to improve her circumstances. She has actively engaged in playgroups to reduce isolation, increase her support network, and support her child's development. She has also been proactively exploring employeement. Mum has recently secured more stable housing and requires household items and furnishing to re-stabalise her and her child's life.
