Single mother, 2 children fled DFV interstate, facing financial hardships requires furniture support.
Domestic & Family Violence
The family, which includes a single mum, 7yr old daughter and 6yr old son, have relocated interstate to flee DFV. They have been living between various crisis accommodation placements, have recently been allocated a permanent public housing property. Mum has obtained basic furnishings for the home, but has been unable to secure sufficient clothing storage for herself and her children, particularly hanging storage for clothing. The 6 y.o. boy has ASD level 3 and complex developmental needs, and sufficient storage space is required to store appliances, medications and other hazardous household items (e.g. cleaning supplies, batteries) out of his reach, to minimize risk of harm and his access to these items. Mum has been very resourceful in trying to source and obtain furnishings for the home, however there have been some things she hasn't been able to secure.
