After fleeing domestic and family violence late last year, a mother and her four children have spent the past several months moving between temporary accommodation, including a motel and refuge, while trying to find safety and stability.
They have recently secured a home of their own, offering the first real sense of security they have had in months. While this is an important step forward, rebuilding after leaving violence is incredibly difficult. Like many families escaping abuse, they left with very little and are now starting again from scratch.
This family is working hard to recover, heal, and create a safe and stable future for the children. Support from donors will help ease some of the immediate financial pressure and allow this mother to focus on settling her children, rebuilding routine, and creating a sense of safety and normalcy after a long period of instability.
