Creating a Safe and Sustainable Home for a Family Rebuilding
Domestic & Family Violence
This parent and their three children have experienced secondary and primary homelessness since early 2021. They have been on the Family Accommodation Program waitlist since 2022, but due to limited housing availability, they have only recently been offered a place. Despite facing significant and complex challenges over the years, including experiences of family and domestic violence and past AOD issues, this parent has consistently demonstrated resilience, determination, and a strong commitment to creating stability for their family. The ongoing housing crisis has contributed to long term insecurity, yet they have remained engaged with support services and focused on rebuilding their life. They are now residing in transitional accommodation and actively working toward independence, wellbeing, and a safe, consistent environment for their children. To support this progress, they require essential household items to make their home functional, safe, and sustainable.
