This Young Person is currently navigating the private rental market, whilst experiencing financial hardship and a lack of support surrounding their lifelong disability. Unfortunately, once graduating they were not linked in with appropriate disability supports and have been managing with extremely limited assistance since. This has created increased challenges regarding access to appropriate housing, financial stability and their overall health & wellbeing.
Recently, their washing machine & dryer have broken, which has created a significant challenge for them to navigate due to their limited finances and support. To ensure this young person's health & wellbeing, in addition to needing clean clothes for upcoming meetings with organisations & community providers, any support to assist them in obtaining a new washing machine and dryer would make a significant difference. As this young person has limited family support & social connections, they are seeking support from their community.
