Six young people staying in in-reach accommodation are facing Christmas without the family support many of us rely on. Each of them has come from instability, disrupted relationships, or unsafe living situations and this time of year can intensify feelings of isolation and uncertainty. While others gather with loved ones, these young people are working hard just to feel secure and emotionally steady.
The holiday season can be especially difficult when home has never been a safe place or when family connections have broken down. A lack of stable support can make it harder for them to maintain hope, focus on their goals, or feel a sense of belonging. Community care can help remind them that they are not alone and that their futures matter.
