65-Year-Old couple lost their home and all belongings in the Harcourt January Victorian bushfires.

The couple were insured and believed they had adequate insurance but received a rude shock when claiming after losing their home, furniture, clothing and all personal mementos and belongings to the Harcourt January bushfires.
They were informed of being grossly underinsured so needed to complete the clean-up themselves with the wonderful assistance from the DFFH Clean-up crew.
Soon after the fire, one of the couple had a fall on their property and sustained a broken bone, this not only impacted the clean-up requirements but ceased access to an income due to needing to take months off work, and only having a small amount of leave available to them.
They are now staying with family and are struggling financially.
Support would be greatly appreciated to help with fuel costs while travelling back and forth to the property as the clean-up continues.
