This family is rebuilding their lives after escaping domestic violence and relocating to a new state without any informal supports such as friends or extended family. The parent is solely responsible for caring for three young children while managing safety, stability, and ongoing recovery from trauma.
The oldest child has complex needs, including multiple diagnoses such as ASD, ADHD, CPTSD, anxiety, a sleep disorder, and Tourette’s. These challenges significantly impact daily life and place additional pressure on the family. All available NDIS funding has been directed toward essential therapies, leaving limited capacity to support everyday needs that would improve the child’s wellbeing.
Without a support network, the family continues to face emotional, practical, and financial strain as they work toward stability.
