Flooding 2022
These children have experienced significant trauma and instability. They were removed from their mother’s care after ongoing exposure to drugs, alcohol misuse and unsafe living conditions that no child should ever have to endure. Their early lives have been marked by fear, uncertainty and environments that were unable to meet their most basic needs for safety, stability and care. No extended family support available, the children were forced to leave their home suddenly without any of their belongings, familiar comforts or personal possessions. They are now trying to adjust to entirely new surroundings while carrying the emotional impact of what they have experienced. They are incredibly vulnerable and urgently need care and opportunities to help them begin healing and rebuilding a sense of security.. Support from the community can help provide comfort, dignity and hope during an incredibly challenging chapter of their lives.
