He lost much of his property to the fire, watching a lifetime of hard‑earned tools, fencing, and equipment disappear in the flames. Now this old farmer is doing his best to replace what he can while continuing to care for his own cattle—and the cattle of others that have wandered onto his land in the chaos. Despite his losses, he shelters and feeds every animal until their owners can be found, putting responsibility before his own hardship. With so much gone and so much still asked of him, he is facing the long road ahead with quiet resilience and hope for a helping hand.
